Mend Counselling

Counselling and Psychotherapy Services for Adults, Couples and Young People

Welcome to Mend Counselling

My name is Tracey, I am a Level 5 certified and accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in Chertsey, covering Shepperton, Sunbury, Lyne, Walton on Thames, Addlestone, Ottershaw, New Haw, Staines, Thorpe and surrounding areas for in-person counselling. I offer online counselling if preferred or travel is an issue, as well as 'walk and talk' therapy for those who like the outdoors and wish to try a different counselling experience.

I established Mend Counselling to offer a safe, compassionate and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly about whatever you're going through. Whether you're experiencing a specific issue that you would like to talk about or just feel like something isn't quite right, I’m here to support you and work through it together.

I specialise in Relationship Therapy and Bereavement Counselling, but work with a wide range of other issues including anxiety, self-worth, life transitions, confidence issues, stress and burnout among others.

We’ll work together to gently explore what’s happening in your life, at a pace that feels right for you. My approach is grounded in person-centred therapy, but I integrate a range of therapeutic approaches to support your specific needs, always guided by empathy, respect and a commitment to understanding your experience from your perspective.

There’s no need to know exactly what you want to say, often simply being here is enough and we'll take it from there. I’m here to support you in understanding your thoughts and feelings and to find a way forward.

I believe that therapy is an important part of taking care of ourselves, focusing on our emotional well-being without stigma attached.

The benefits of therapy are profound and can fundamentally transform an individual's life. Many of us move through the world carrying old, deeply ingrained beliefs about ourselves, our environment and the expectations of others. Therapy offers a safe space to find a fresh perspective, helping you better understand your past or present and recognise new possibilities for your future.

About Me

I am incredibly passionate about what I do and the most important thing to me is that you feel seen, heard and understood and leave counselling feeling a deeper connection to yourself.

My own experiences of loss, grief, relationship issues and life struggles, guided my path to becoming the therapist I am today and continue to shape my practice. I believe that having my own personal experiences allows deeper insight when I work with someone and am able to offer deep empathy and understanding to my clients.

I provide professional insight and support to help you navigate your counselling journey, drawing on different therapy approaches to offer the best outcome for you. I believe that therapy should be as unique as the person receiving it.

Whether you are seeking therapy for yourself, your relationship or a young person in your life, you are guaranteed a warm welcome, with no pre-conceptions.

Level 5 Certified Psychotherapist and Counsellor and Accredited Member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
